26 Feb St Moritz
St Moritz – little discretion is needed when documenting such an affluent resort.
Located in the southern Alps of Switzerland, within the Engadine valley, St Moritz is the oldest winter sports resort in the world.
With a combination of five star mountain restaurants, high-altitude skiing and designer shops, not to mention the abundance of luxury chalets in St Moritz, it is no surprise that a variety of famous faces, Indian royals ( including the Ambani bash) and wealthy clientele are attracted to the resort.
From the Snow Polo World Cup and ‘White Turf’ horse racing, to the Gourmet Festival and the Engadin Snow Golf World Cup, St Moritz has a worldwide reputation for exceptional winter entertainment.
We stayed at the infamous Kulm Hotel which is centrally located and homed to the most spectacular spa and afternoon tea views. During our visit we focused on meeting clients from Lugano, Milan and Zurich and entertained in the most picturesque meeting spots.
Top recommendations are (which aren’t east to get, so reserve early and befriend your concierge)
- King’s Club at Badrutt’s Palace – a wonderland of popcorn making, Michelin star food and exotic dancers.
- CheCha – laden in Bogner and matching his n hers ski’s? CheCha is the lunch spot to be seen, live romantic renditions and the sweet smell of the local Kaiserschmarrn desert. With blazon sunshine and an Aperol spritz in hand, it is certainly a lunch spot not to be missed.
- La Baracca – dance the night away and beware on the way out! Music, fun and deliciously hearty food, start early because it will be dawn before you leave. The ultimate small but hot spot!
The season is still young, we highly recommend St Moritz as the luxury winter spot
